I have just returned from a 24 hour solo meditation retreat. I realised that, in spite of the big setback I recently experienced, my inner core is fine. I am slightly shaken, but not completely stirred! It's a great feeling, knowing that essentially all is well.
That strong core was created by my regular meditation practice. I have built a base of serenity, and it is there when I need it most (ironically, the upsetting situation suddenly improved this morning). I urge you to find time each day to 'grow serenity'. It really works...
