Effort is what matters: outcomes are optional

Yesterday I was contemplating the difference between discipline and control. I believe discipline is about working steadily towards your goal; control is about trying to influence the outcome, which may be out of your hands. Control is like playing God.

Your soul asks that you work hard, have faith, but to understand that such a lot of life is outside your control. There are factors in your chart, in other people's charts, that you cannot know. It comes back to quiet slogging behind the scenes. All will be revealed at the end....
