I was wide awake at 3.30am this morning, my mind whirling with details of a big fundraising garage sale. Later, during my meditation, it was a relief just to sit quietly. I felt the tension ease as I gazed at my Buddha statue and picture of Christ. Thank God for meditation!
I just spoke to a friend who is recovering from a head injury. She said, ironically, her injury has brought her peace: she is too dazed and tired for the usual draining head talk. We need regular breaks from head chatter. We need daily contact with our soul and God.
