Toastmasters Club's secret recipe

This morning I had a great time at the Madhatters Christmas breakfast, the Toastmasters club founded by Keith, Jude and myself. After seven years the club is still going strong. The secret to its success? A special mix of values: respect, compassion and laughter.

When you speak in public you feel so exposed. Respect and compassion is vital; it allows you to push through the fear barrier. And do we know how to laugh! We never take ourselves seriously. Our club's mix of values is a trusted recipe for all life interaction.
