It's not easy being me

As you grow spiritually, you get to know who you really are - your true likes and dislikes. It becomes challenging living your truth in a world where people have expectations of you.

I have been tested twice this week. Family members ridiculed my desire to go on retreat to a place where I would not encounter people I know - 'wacky' was how they described my choice. Secondly, my decision not to attend a boozy birthday party has put me on the outer of a family reunion.

Sometimes it's just like they say: 'It's not easy being me.' However, I have vowed to be true to my values for the rest of my life, and this is what that decision looks like...
