We are our own judge and jury

This morning I had the chance to practice forgiveness when a family member pulled out of a booked arrangement at the last minute, disrupting our plans. I was very annoyed and started my meditation trying to forgive them, however it wasn't sincere.

Then I pictured the person back in the spirit world, seeing (and feeling) the impact of their inconsiderate behaviour. When I witnessed their genuine remorse I could then sincerely forgive them, and feel compassion. We are our own judge and jury.
