Do one act of kindness today

My neighbour phoned this morning, offering to collect our mail while we are on holiday. I felt guilty because I have not spoken to her recently; her kind phonecall was so appreciated.

Then a friend phoned, wishing me well for my holiday. I have not seen her for ages - it was lovely to talk. Those two calls lifted my spirits during this sad, heavy time. I will send a card to a friend I am thinking of...acts of kindness make being alive easier.
