I was wide awake at 3.30am this morning, my mind whirling with details of a big fundraising garage sale. Later, during my meditation, it was a relief just to sit quietly. I felt the tension ease as I gazed at my Buddha statue and picture of Christ. Thank God for meditation!
I just spoke to a friend who is recovering from a head injury. She said, ironically, her injury has brought her peace: she is too dazed and tired for the usual draining head talk. We need regular breaks from head chatter. We need daily contact with our soul and God.

Make soul contact every day
I spent three weeks travelling with my husband and two daughters. I was rarely alone - there was no time for prayer and meditation - and I felt stressed and disconnected. That experience made me appreciate the value of daily soul contact for a sane, serene life.
Even if you are extremely busy, please find a few minutes each day to connect with your soul. Remember, it is the real you, playing a game here on Earth. Read something inspirational, walk by the lake/ocean/river, watch a sunset...your soul is patiently waiting...
