Yesterday, as I drove into town to see my eldest daughter, I reflected on what a precious gift our children are. To bring soul colleagues into the world and shepherd them to independence is one of the finest responsibilities, and greatest joys, we can have as a soul.
Sadly, my own mother has never appreciated the gift that is me. I felt the wounds of rejection deeply until well into my forties. But now, at 53 years, I have well and truly moved on. My mother's loss is my daughters' gain. I love them unconditionally, and they know it.
