The secret to hearing God speak to you

Yesterday on my solo 24 hour retreat I experienced complete soul peace. No talking, no television, no traffic...just me and the sea.

At last I could hear, really hear, God. He spoke to me through the echo of waves crashing on stones, the cry of sea birds, the soft settling of sand underfoot. I thanked God for the beauty that is life.
