I meditate most days and I can tell how balanced my life is based on the quality of those meditations. If I am very busy my mind wanders constantly while I meditate, thinking about the endless stream of unfinished tasks. Occasionally I have to abandon the meditation!
Last week I put a big effort into tackling my job list and now I am experiencing the benefits of that focused action. My mind is much calmer during meditation - when it does wander I can pull myself back on track more easily. Long may this serenity continue...
