When I woke this morning, I knew I had to make the transition from thinking of Sammy the cat as 'gone, dead, body' to 'here, alive, spirit'. (Yes, I lied, it wasn't the last blog about him!). I vowed to turn off the tears and learn to connect with Sam's spirit every day.
Now, I truly know he is in the house, and that he never left. He is still doing what he does best - lying in the sun in the dining-room. Instead of dreading returning to an 'empty' house, I will look forward to coming home to his presence. My old mate is still with me...
