This morning I meditated using a recorded visualisation, 'Following in the Master's Footsteps'. It features Jesus, the ascended Master, and teaches you how to reach ascension. Quite simply, that means not having to return to Earth any more. You've graduated. Oh, bliss!
You reach ascension not just by doing good deeds, but by not doing certain things. And addictions (my hobby horse) are at the top of the list. How are you progressing with releasing your addictions? Every step you take to release addictions is one step closer to ascension.
To leave the Earth plane behind forever, we also need to release all negative emotions: pride, fear, self-pity, resentments. During the meditation, I saw that I'm making good progress on my emotional stumbling block - resentment. How are you going with yours?

Add humour to your spiritual life
This morning I gave a mini speech at Toastmasters about OM, the original sacred word of God. It is a deep subject, but I chose to lighten it with humour. Everyone laughed and will remember information about OM because they enjoyed it.
My new spiritual book could make serious reading, but I am choosing to illustrate it with cartoons. I want readers to enjoy the lighter side of spirituality. The Dalai Lama has a great sense of humour - so did Jesus apparently. Is there lightness and humour in your spiritual life?

Ideas for enhancing meditations
I meditate most mornings for 15 minutes. I have no particular belief system but draw inspiration from Buddha and the Christ (not Jesus). I focus on images of those two great teachers - it helps lift my attention to soul level.
I read spiritual readings and prayers to set the meditation stage. These rituals remind me that I am soul, and my real home is a place of divine love. I never want to forget that!
