A friend asked yesterday: 'I know that consciousness just 'is' yet I feel judgment for people who have harmed myself or others. How can I not feel grief/anger when horrific acts like rape and murder are committed?' Here is my condensed answer to Rochelle's question...
Our personality reacts emotionally because we are attached to life; it hurts. Our soul does not react because it is detached from the world. Our Buddha-like self has compassion and forgiveness for the perpetrator's ignorance. Such is the constant test of living spiritually.
