I was talking to a friend who is experiencing a 'heavy feeling' due to work pressure. Right now I am experiencing the opposite - a 'light feeling', where life is moving with ease and I feel happy. When you feel heavy you are bogged down in the negative energy of Earth.
We need to experience heavy negative energy so that we recognize its opposite, light positive energy. But once we recognize negativity, we need to let it go. Our emotional and physical bodies cannot handle long term heaviness. Sooner or later we pay the price.

Resentment is personality 'stuff'
I used to feel deep resentment at the slightest provocation - resentment was my default position in life. It's rare for me to experience it these days. However, today I feel mild resentment towards someone. I am treating it as a spiritual learning experience!
Resentment is personality stuff - our souls have no negativity. So I have to deal with it on a personality level. I have two choices - continue to simmer, or speak out. I want to speak out, but I first I need to diffuse the negative emotion. Then I am free to speak...

Don't put off facing your problems - do it now.
Further thoughts from 'Why You Are Who You Are by Graham Bernard: 'The way to come to grips with our problems is to face up to them. The vague feelings of unrest and discontent...the difficulties...the compulsive urges... the misery of day to day living...all are indications of unsolved problems.'
As I read that, I realized that I have made huge progress in recent years. I used to put off dealing with difficulties, which caused much self-pity. These days I face problems head-on, and work hard to find solutions. The result? Serenity, and renewed faith in my soul path.

Advice from your soul: Stay positive!
When life is an uphill struggle you may experience self-pity and fear. 'Will I ever feel fulfilled?' During those low lonely times it is vital to stay positive. Your soul cannot fight its way through a dense wall of negativity: it needs as much hope and faith as you can muster.
Your extreme patience will eventually be rewarded by the turning of the tide. I recognise this from the pattern of my own life - it has always been darkest just before a new dawn. Stay positive; the tide will turn, for you and for me.
