Further thoughts from 'Why You Are Who You Are by Graham Bernard: 'The way to come to grips with our problems is to face up to them. The vague feelings of unrest and discontent...the difficulties...the compulsive urges... the misery of day to day living...all are indications of unsolved problems.'
As I read that, I realized that I have made huge progress in recent years. I used to put off dealing with difficulties, which caused much self-pity. These days I face problems head-on, and work hard to find solutions. The result? Serenity, and renewed faith in my soul path.

When all else fails, do an inventory
It is 6.30am. I woke at 4am, and lay awake worrying about many things. So I got up at 5am, made tea, and wrote an inventory. Then I created an action plan to lift myself out of this despondent place.
Fixing problems and focussing on the future is exactly what my soul wants to happen. Using soul perspective I gave myself hope that life will improve. Your soul needs hope like your body needs oxygen.
(PS: If you are a regular reader of this blog please leave feedback - it will help me to know if I am on the right track. Many thanks!)
